Angelo Mosca – Akvarell, textil och skrift

Lilla Baren på Riche presenterar en utställning med verk av den italienske konstnären Angelo Mosca. Utställningen innehåller ett urval av akvareller, textila verk och kombinationer av bild och skrift.

Angelo Mosca är verksam internationellt och har tidigare ställt ut i bland annat Italien, Storbritannien och USA. I denna presentation på Riche visas ett koncentrerat urval som speglar hans arbete med skala, rytm och betydelse.

Utställningen pågår under slutet av året och är en del av Riche Lilla Barens kontinuerliga program med samtida konst.

Angelo Mosca är född 1961 i Chieti och är verksam mellan Ortona, Castel di Ieri (L’Aquila) och Milano. Han började ställa ut under 1990-talet och har en akademisk bakgrund inom kommunikation, med en doktorsexamen i sociologi. Sedan 2013 driver han projektet L’artista nel sistema e il suo tempo i Castel di Ieri, där han sedan 2015 också leder Spazio/Studio, ett rum för konstnärligt arbete och utställningar. Under år 2025 ställer han ut på Villa San Michele på Capri, och han har precis tilldelats Michetti priset.

Angelo Mosca deltog i den 76:e upplagan av Premio Michetti, en av Italiens mest prestigefyllda konstutmärkelser. Utställningen, kuraterad av Massimiliano Scuderi, bar titeln Group Shows Kill the Group och syftade till att lyfta fram konstnärerna snarare än enskilda verk. Mosca var en av fyra konstnärer som valdes ut som ”outsiders” – en beteckning som i detta sammanhang syftar på konstnärer med stark påverkan på yngre generationer, men som står delvis utanför det etablerade konstsystemet. Scuderi lyfter fram Mosca som en konstnär vars sensibilitet och kulturella uttryck har haft betydande inflytande på samtida konstnärer. Hans verk i utställningen visade på en reflekterande och materiell närvaro, och han tilldelades en hedersomnämnande för sitt bidrag.

Moscas deltagande i Michetti 2025 bekräftar hans relevans i samtidskonsten, särskilt i dialogen mellan generationer och i relation till objektbaserad konst och filosofiska perspektiv som Object-Oriented Ontology.

Mosca har medverkat i både separatutställningar och grupputställningar i Italien och internationellt. Bland de platser han har ställt ut på finns Galleria Six, Spazio Yellow, Galleria Lorenzo Vatalaro, Spazio Cabinet, MARS och Federico Luger Gallery i Milano, samt Wendy Cooper Gallery i Chicago, Modern Culture i New York, Annarumma 404 i Neapel, Platform Gallery i London, Jan Wagner Gallery i Berlin och Galleria Guido Carbone i Turin.

Lilla Baren at Riche presents an exhibition of works by the Italian artist Angelo Mosca. The exhibition includes a selection of watercolors, textile works and combinations of images and writing. Angelo Mosca is active internationally and has previously exhibited in Italy, the UK and the USA. This presentation at Riche shows a concentrated selection that reflects his work with scale, rhythm and meaning. The exhibition runs from beginning of december and throughout the year and is part of Riche Lilla Baren’s ongoing programme of contemporary art.

Angelo Mosca participated in the 76th edition of the Premio Michetti, one of Italy’s most prestigious art awards. Since 2013 he has been running the project L’artista nel sistema e il suo tempo in Castel di Ieri, where since 2015 he has also been managing Spazio/Studio, a space for artistic work and exhibitions. In 2025 he will be exhibiting at Villa San Michele in Capri, and he has just been awarded the Michetti Prize.
