In June, we are happy to once again invite you to our summer tradition: Midsummer Bloom at Riche. From June 16 to 21, the entire restaurant is transformed into a vibrant summer oasis, adorned with beautiful greenery from our own cultivation at Ulriksdal’s Inn. Here, the scents of summer meet classic midsummer flavors in a tribute to the Swedish summer.
We begin the celebration with a grand premiere evening on June 16, where you are welcomed into a lush, flower-decorated Riche as you step inside. Throughout the evening, midsummer dishes will be served, along with cocktails both with and without alcohol featuring flavors from our garden, and our house-made schnapps, “Ängscitrus.” The midsummer atmosphere is enhanced by Bengt Mattson and Maria Ehrman, performing both original and traditional folk music on violin and nyckelharpa. As the evening transitions into night, a DJ takes over in the Main Bar. Of course, we will also raise the traditional midsummer pole in Lill Baren —the symbol that belongs at every proper midsummer celebration.
Midsummer Celebration in Lilla Baren
On Midsummer’s Eve itself, Lilla Baren invites you to a celebration that is as traditional as it is festive. The festivities begin at 12:30 PM with a welcome drink and continue with a midsummer buffet at long communal tables, accompanied by traditional Swedish “snapsvisor” (drinking songs) and live folk musicians. At 5:00 PM, we rearrange slightly and welcome dinner reservations, and later in the evening the celebration evolves into a classic party with a DJ and live performances.
